Day 196
Saturday 28th February
Australian Cup Day
It was not a great day... Hunter thew a wobbly for most of it. He just screamed and had tantrums. Finally we just threw him in bed and let him cry himself to sleep... seemed to work as he slept for ages. I half wanted to pike out of going to the Meadows for Australian Cup night but I couldn't, as Kat was coming down from Sydney for it, pretty much at my request, lol.
In the end... I'm so glad I went. Hunter was perfect... It's like he got out ALL of his bad behaviour before we left. He had dinner in the tent and ate one of the big 170g jars and then he had cuddles with a few people around the table before I took him off to dress him in warm clothes because it was freezing and blowing a gale at the northern suburbs venue! Then he actually had a snooze in his pram and woke up for the main race. We couldn't find any black for him (El Galo drew the 7). Plenty in 00, and 0 and 1. But nothing in 000. El Galo ran a gallant 2nd beaten by Velocette.
We ended up staying til the bitter end, doing a small amount of socialising upstairs before we headed off. I don't think Hunter made one single sound the whole night apart from laughing. Not one cry, squawk, etc.
That isn't going to stop me putting in the pics from him throwing his whammy tho!

Friday 27th February
Didn't do too much at all today.. just went to EB Games to FINALLY pick up my Wii Fit (yay!) and I also got a necklace and a ring as a belated birthday present. And that's about it!

Thursday 26th February
Went to Sandown today as Cass and Ruby are over from WA and we were meeting up for dinner. Hunter chilled in the VIP room for a while and I gave him his dinner and after that he actually went to sleep in the pram. While he was asleep I went down to see Cass and Ruby who were eating and sat and talked to them for a while til we went upstairs to heat up Ruby's bottle. Hunter was waking up so we introduced the two kiddies and I took Hunter back downstairs.
We got a couple of pics in the VIP room when I was giving Hunter a bottle later that night but it was hard to get pics of Ruby as she didn't sit still for 5 seconds lol! I would line her up for a great shot and she'd be off and gone! Unfortunately Cass and I both missed what would've been a truly hysterical picture - Ruby crawled into the basket in the pram where the nappy bag goes. She looked so funny, but neither of us were quick enough to get a pic. Still we did get a few...

Wednesday 25th February
Straight back into it! Rob went and picked up the dogs this morning... Gizmo is on season which is a massive pain and they're currently all locked out in the backyard so as to keep her off the couches. They don't like it so much, but they'll deal with it, lol. Apparently she brought Miss Mini Mouse on season, so that's good for Paul and Diane.
Rob off to Horsham, me at home with Lil Man. Who is practicing new ways to exit his rocker. Guess he just can't wait for one of us to pick him up!

Tuesday 24th February
Back in Victoria... Parking people picked us up within 15-20 minutes of getting our luggage, which was really good. And I was extremely relieved to find that my bag, containing my wallet (with all the cash intact), phone, camera, etc was still in the car. So we will be definitely using them again, whenever we go somewhere.
Celebrating being reunited with my camera, I took these pics of Lil Man on the way home from the airport.
