Day 176

Sunday 8th February

Our poor lil man did not have a good night! Woke up screaming at 4am and would not stop. It was very unlike him, how unsettled he was. If he wakes up that early in the night, it's usually because he's hungry, or not tired and thinks it's playtime. He was not hungry and he was definitely tired, his eyes were red! But he kept screaming, and crying, even walking around cuddling him wasn't working. I had a look in his mouth and saw for the first time - his tooth! He's getting his first bottom tooth, you can just see it under the surface of his gum. Poor lil fella, he's not loving it!

Rob took these pics at somewhere between probably 5.30am-8am

I took these ones Sunday night... He is oh-so-close!

Day 175

Saturday 7th February

Woohoo... my birthday and Rochelle's 21st birthday. Because we could not go to her dress up party last night due to Rob having to work, we took her, her bf Simon, Rob's parents and Rob's brother Tone and his family out to dinner. As it was a kids weekend and we had the boys, they came too. We went to the Hogs Breath in Geelong and it was really good, although the only problem was that it was very HOT where we were sitting. We had these lights right over each booth and it made it really hot. The day reached a whopping 47.9 degrees though (highest temp ever recorded in Victoria apparently) so a lot of that discomfort was probably down to the fact that a place can only be so cool in that sort of heat.

The food was beautiful and everyone cleaned their plates. We got Rochelle a big mudcake and the waitresses brought it out with sparklers and sang happy birthday to her, lol. Don't think she was a huge fan! Afterwards we went for a walk down to the water and got gelati at Blis, the new store. The temperate dropped about 25 degrees in 3 or so hours, so when we got home to open our presents, it was almost cold!

The only one who didn't have a good time was a poor Little Man. He was so hot, and kept puking everywhere, and couldn't settle. Rob spent most of the time walking around outside with him, when the temp started to drop. After the dinner was finished and we went for a walk, he fell asleep in his pram and seemed a bit better after that.

Piccies!

Nice and cool and bug eyed!

Day 174

Friday 6th February

Today was a very relaxing day at home. Rob had to prepare for his big night hosting the Victorian Greyhound of the Year event. It was his first time hosting it and even he said it went well, so it must have gone very well! Hunter and I had a quiet night at home, watching some tv and things like that. Zak and Jorja dropped around in the afternoon before they went out to Rochelle's dress up 21st. Hunter is still trying to crawl, he's getting closer and closer!

Hunter says Ni-night everyone!

Day 173

Thursday 5th February

Meet Bob the dog... the newest member of the family!

Temporarily anyway! Bob the dog needed to get from Warrnambool to Sandown in order to be picked up to go to the GAP program. His transport fell by the wayside so Robbie T was roped in to take Bob the dog to Lara for the night, then onto Sandown the next day, seeing as he was going there anyway. Bob is a lovely boy, big (36kg already, he's just 12months old), very very smoochy and very quiet. He and Power were eyeing each other off, so we locked ours in the garage and Bob slept in the backyard. On the Thursday, we let them play a bit. Our 3 followed him around pretty much everywhere he went. He is a lovely dog, I hope that he passes GAP and finds himself a really good home.

Hunter had pears and banana for lunch today...and was a BIG fan! :)

Day 172

Wednesday 4th February

Snuggly bubba!

Day 171

Tuesday 3rd February

We are so proud of Hunter! He went to bed last night at 8.30ish for his nap and at about 10.30, the power went out. We kinda waited around a while, but when it wasn't back on by 11pm, we decided to go to be too as there was nothing at all to do. There was no point getting Hunter up to bath him in the dark, and we couldn't heat a bottle up for him anyway, so we just decided to see how long he'd sleep.

He slept til 8am!! Couldn't believe it! I woke up at 1am because my laptop was beeping because the battery was dead and there was still no power. Rob woke at 4.30 because I think he said he heard some soft noises on the monitor and the power had been back for about 2.5hrs, going by the flashing bedside alarm clock. Rob got up, thinking Hunter was going to wake up, only he didn't! Not for another 3.5 hours anyway! So 11.5hrs sleeptime!

Day 170

Monday 2nd February

What do you think they are talking about? :)

Day 169

Sunday 1st February

Hunter's fave new expression, lol. He is doing it ALL the time now. He will just look at you, grin, and then pull this face. I think he thinks that he's funny! He also does it sometimes when you're trying to give him a bottle.

Day 168

Saturday 31st January

It has FINALLY cooled down to decent temps! And we are now the proud owners of air con, lol. Maybe a week too late, but I definitely expect another few stretches of temps like that in the future. It happened last year - we were getting temps of over 40 in late Feb and March! So I am sure we will get plenty of use out of it.

Hunter has been on the move a LOT lately. The days we spent out at Paul and Diane's, Paul was "encouraging" him to crawl, lol. He gets up onto all fours and rocks back and forth, and he can commando crawl a bit. Kinda wriggle himself a long the ground. He gets very frustrated though, because he wants to GO and he just can't and he gets cranky and grizzles and whines and I have to get up and move him back onto his mat from where he's rolled/dragged himself off it, or turn him over, or try and distract him from his frustration! I think I liked him better when he didn't move!

Doing his new trick everywhere...You can't leave him anywhere anymore, he is onto his tummy in 2 seconds flat!

Day 167

Friday 30th January

Taken with my phone, so the quality might not be too good

Day 166

Thursday 29th January

It got to 45 here today... ridiculous! We spent the day out at Paul and Diane's, chilling in their lovely air con. Paula came over with Daisy and Chloe and the 3 kids had a ball, lol. Chloe is excellent with the babies, I could leave Hunter with her no worries and duck out for a bit. She is so patient and doesn't panic at all. She'll be babysitting up a storm in a few years!

Day 165

Wednesday 28th January

So hot. So freakin hot! It's ridiculous. Think we hit over 40 today, after 39 yesterday and it's supposed to get worse the next 2 days. We were camped out at Paul and Diane's again, for about 12 hours! It has definitely been so good for Hunter, being able to spend these days with their air conditioning...his skin has been so good. His ezcema hasn't come back at all and he has been happy and content. If we had to spend days in this house, it would've been a nightmare.

Couple of pics of Hunter and Elijah being cute together.

Day 164

Tuesday 27th January

**To come**

Day 163

Monday 26th January

Lol I have so many photos of Hunter smiling and laughing...here's a couple of him looking very unhappy! Ones for the 21st too

Day 162

Sunday 25th January

Tired bubba! All day!

Lol, now that he moves a lot, I find Hunter sleeping in some very funny positions

Day 161

Saturday 24th January

Rob cooked up one of his big brekkies today and we invited Paul and Diane to come over to join in!

Hunter enjoyed his bottle... won't be too long til he's tucking into the bacon and eggs tho!

Showing off his new shoes!

Day 160

Friday 23rd January

Hunter has learned a new skill...rolling over in his rocker, lol. He is all about the rolling over right now!

This afternoon his sisters Jorja and Rochelle came to visit

And when it was time for bed, it was time to try out his new sleeping bag for the very first time! I had been wanting to get him one for ages, and finally we got him one from a shop in North Geelong who carry the Gro-bag ones, which are the SIDS organisation certified ones. So here is Hunter in his 6-18 month sleeping bag! I think it'll fit him for QUITE a while!
