Day 104

Friday 28th November

OMG..... Hunter looks HUGE here... lol.

Some of the hilarious expressions he made as he played with Rob this afternoon!

Day 103

Thursday 27th November

Happy Birthday to our very nutty, very special girl!

Miss Rolly turns 5 today. And doesn't act a day over 1 and a half!! :)

These pics were taken just as Hunter started to wake up this morning......

......At 9:05am. Yep that is when he woke up this morning! Rob did Warrnambool last night so he was knackered when he got home after one. At about 6am he woke me up and said that he thought Hunter was waking up and would I be able to get up with him as he was too tired. I lay there for a lil while, and heard some soft sounds on the monitor... and then I rolled over and it was 8:22 lol! I freaked at first, because I thought I'd fallen asleep and Rob had to get up with him after all.... So I jump out of bed and hurry down to his room... I peek in and he's a peaceful as anything, still sleeping away. No evidence that anyone had been up with him, so I guessed he was still in his original sleep! I waited and waited and waited (checked on him twice more, over the next 40 mins) and finally at 9:05 I heard the "I'm awake... come and get me!" sounds. What a massive sleep! We were so proud of him.

Today was also another milestone for Hunter, besides a record breaking sleep. He rolled over for the first time from his back onto his tummy. And I missed it! I was reading and he was on his playmat when all of a sudden I heard him rip out this massive burp, lol. He often burps if he's on his tummy, so I look up (he has been trying to roll over for a while now) and he is on his tummy! He couldn't roll back so I got up and rolled him back over and found this....

Guess the burp brought up a bit of milk and he face planted in it, lol. Didn't seem to bother him though! He was pretty pleased with himself!

Day 102

Wednesday 26th November

It was a very nice day today and I am on a mission to lose the remainder of the poodge so when Hunter and I got up at about 9, I gave him a bottle and then decided that we were going for a walk. We went into town to pick up the papers and then home a long-ish way... All up, about 40mins.

Hunter all ready to go!

He fell asleep on the walk.... waking up slowly when we were home and he realised the pram was no longer moving

In his new outfit!

And very proud of himself

Day 101

Tuesday 25th November

Hunter has a very important announcement that he would like to make... The State of the Hunter Address!

Hunter would like to extend a very warm welcome to his baby cousin - Charli Mae Edwards who was born at 1:07am 25/11/08 by C-Section. He wishes her a very speedy exit from the special care unit and hopes she is back in with her mum soon. He would also like to say a big congrats to his Uncle Josh and his Aunt Kali and that he cannot wait to meet everyone.

Day 100

Monday 24th November

Hunter is 100 days old today! Wow it has gone so fast and yet that day I gave birth to him in the hospital feels so long ago! He is having a bit of a hard time of it at the moment. I think he is actually in the early stages of getting his first tooth. He's drooling a tonne, he has this flushed rash on his face, he is chewing/gnawing on everything in sight - his fist, his bib, anything he can lift and get into this mouth - and he's not sleeping too well. He is a bit sooky and grizzly too. I keep trying to look at his gums to see if I can see anything, but he tends to think that's a game and sticks his tongue out - his new favourite trick. He does it all the time, lol. So I can't see diddly squat.

Today was a bit of a trying day, while Rob was at work. Hunter was very grizzly and would not sleep at all. So when Rob came home from Geelong, we gave him a nice, relaxing bath. He loved it and it definitely made a big difference.

Day 99

Sunday 23rd November

Day 98

Saturday 22nd November

The monitor may have worked some magic... Hunter went to bed at 12:15 last night after his bath and bottle and we got him out of bed this morning at..... 8:10!! A new record!

I love taking pics of him when he's on his tummy!

Day 97

Friday 21st November

Went shopping in Geelong again... it's becoming the regular! We had a few things to do. We picked up more formula because Big W have it cheap all the time now and Hunter also got an shirt. Then we went to Target and he also got an outfit there that was on special. Think this kid is a tad spoiled!

Rob took these pics of Hunter and I tonight... I love them!

Today was also a big occasion. We bought the baby monitor today from Big W so after last bottle and bath, Hunter went to bed in his cot for the first time! We listened to him on the monitor. Rob sooked a bit, but I think it's time that he was in his room. Hopefully he might sleep just that little bit longer.

Day 96

Thursday 20th November

My playful lil bubba!

Day 95

Wednesday 19th November

Who could resist....

....this face?

Day 94

Tuesday 18th November

Well... Hunter heard my plea! 7:15 he woke up! A 7 hour sleep, which was awesome as it means Rob also got nearly 5 hours too before he heard me get up with Hunter. Surprisingly he got up also. We pottered around for a while, then we had a few things do do. Hunter needed nappies, and the supermarket here doesn't stock what he wears, so that meant a trip to the Village. I also wanted to go to Harvey Norman to get some prints as they are running a 12c special atm. But typically, when we got there all the machines were being used, so we took off, planning to come back another time. We went to the Village and got nappies and the ingredients for the banana bread I was planning to make. Then we came home and I... made banana bread!

Mmmm. Banana bread

Banana bread again

It turned out very well for a first attempt. I am not really used to the oven, as it tends to cook unevenly. Next time I will remember to turn the pan around halfway through the cooking time. It wasn't anything noticeable, it was just a bit darker on one side, lol. And next time I will use 3 banana's and make sure they are all black. These ones weren't really overripe at all. All in all - pretty happy :D

Okay, this is a blog about Hunter, not my (attempts at) cooking!

Did you know?

That I have a very cheeky bubba!!

Night time bath

Getting a massage.. notice the drool, lol.

Ready for bed

Day 93

Monday 17th November

Rob had a (very) rare Horsham night meeting to do so he took off about 3pm and it was just Hunter and I for the night. I rang Nan for her birthday and made dinner (heated up meatballs) while Hunter played on his mat and kicked his legs to the music channel. I had a very stern talking with him before his midnight bath and bottle about sleeping late, as I would be getting up with him, due to Rob not getting home until about 2am and probably not being in bed before 2:30am. I think he seemed to understand!

Took these photos just before his bath and midnight feed I think. I made him a really deep bath for him to just sit in and he loved it! He didn't get niggly at all, I had to get him out in the end as the water was starting to cool. He would've been a little prune. Then I gave him a massage and he was in heaven, especially when he was on his tummy. He drank all his bottle and was in bed at 12:15 so fingers crossed for a nice, long sleep!
