Day 280

Friday 22nd May

Sun! There was sun! All day! It was great - we went for a really nice walk in the morning after brekky on a path all the way along the beach to the surf club and back again. It's a very popular path, it was heavy traffic all the way. Then we went to Pacific Fair as it's all open and you need a good day to go there. Don't think Hunter liked the stroller he was in too much, he was keen to have a sleep but in that the sun was always on him as the hood isn't too good and it doesn't lay back. He was pretty good tho. Don't think I bought anything, just some lip gloss. I've been very good with the spending. Still looking for a dress!

Boo is better! I think Mum and Dad are starting to see the real Hunter now :)

Wednesday 20th May

Had to take Hunter to the docs this morning as he had a terrible night. Barely slept at all and he was so hot it was ridiculous. I couldn't bring his fever down at all and I was getting so worried about him. You hear too much about young kids and meningitis and all this other stuff they can get. I had him in the bed with me and although he tried hard, he must've been too hot/sick/miserable to sleep. He was pretty good in there with me, no crying or anything, but he was very restless and unhappy. Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep! I rang the local medical centre at 8:30 and they were awesome - got me an apt at 9:30am that day and I took him right up. The doc was pretty convinced it was just a viral infection that his body would fight off naturally and even as he took his temp it was evident it started to drop. His temp broke that day over lunch just like that - one minute he was feverish and the next he was a completely normal temp. We went to the surf club for lunch as this was what would've been Grandma Jenkins' 100th birthday. Nice lunch, few people were there despite the absolutely appalling weather. It was terrible - gale force winds, pelting rain!

You can tell how much he improved by the pics - 1st one is in the morning, before the doctors, the second one is in the evening, when he was much better.

Day 277

Tuesday 19th May

Boo not really any better this morning, although he did sleep all night until 6:30am which I was pleased with. The weather was pretty craptastic - we got in a walk early this morning after breakfast but then it was pretty miserable after that. We went to Harbour Town and did some shopping. Mum went a bit crazy and I did get a nice pare of Just Jeans skinny jeans for 30 bucks. Hunter had clearly had enough by about 2-3 and we came home so that he could have a good afternoon sleep. He'd been pretty good all day.

Day 276

Monday 18th May

We're in QLD!! Up here for 10 days on holiday with Mum and Dad. Unfortunately Hunter isn't so well - he woke up with a fever today and was so listless and unlike himself that I wasn't even sure we were going to be able to go. He wouldn't move all morning, just lay in my arms, which is not like him at all. After his sleep he kinda perked up a bit, but then he went downhill on the plane. Just slept the whole way there on my lap, which was actually a bit of a blessing. Here he is in the apartment eating some dinner.

Saturday 16th May

Tonight we all went out to the pub for Daisy's 1st birthday! I can't believe it's been a year since she was born - soon Hunter will be 1 and it's all going way too fast lol. It was a really good night. Hunter and Daisy were so cute in their twin high chairs, sharing their food with each other. Although Daisy stole a chip and gave Hunter some broccoli so I'm not sure that was really a fair swap! Daisy also goes down the slide herself which was funny - we got pics of them all there together at the bottom along with Chloe and her friend Jorja. Very fun night.
