Flashback Friday

For flashback Friday I decided to dig out the pics of my bump as it grew and throw them in here.



17 weeks... just barely starting to show at all!!


19 weeks... not a whole lot bigger


20 Weeks... getting a bit rounder now


24 weeks...

Got a bit slack... 34-35 weeks. Pretty massive bump!


2 days before I gave birth... so about 37 weeks and 6 days

Day 20

Friday 5th September

I step out from behind the camera today! Usually I take the piccies but today while Hunter was all snuggled into me having a bit of a snooze, I got Rob to grab the camera and take some pics of the two of us.

Thursday 4th September

Just got the pics in for today - they were taken after 11pm at night before his last feed!

Day 18

Wednesday 3rd September

Mum and Dad headed home today, so it was our first day "alone" with Hunter! After crying until about 2am last night, he slept til 7 and then slept pretty much most of the day, only waking for his feeds. And even then I had to wake him for one after he'd gone 5 hours! We gave him a bath this morning, which he loved and then he spent most of the day in either his bassinette or his rocker. Now he is wide awake and screaming on and off!!!

Day 17

Tuesday 2nd September

Lazy day today!! We bummed at home for most of it with the only trip out being yet another one to Harvey Norman to get MORE prints! Oh my God do we have some photos! I also got 10 enlarged 8x10s that I'm getting some frames for to put up around the house. Bout time we got some pictures on these walls!!

Hunter had his 2nd shower with Rob tonight and he absolutely loved it! He was so content in there with the water streaming down over his back! After I got him out I wrapped him up in a towel to stay warm while Rob got dressed to come and give him his massage. He was so quiet and happy, just staring around all rugged up. He loves the massages, he was mellowed out for hours afterwards!

Day 16

Monday 1st September

Today Hunter has his 2 week appt with the Maternal Health Nurse. He was weighed and is now 3.8kg and put on 200g in the last week which really pleased the nurse as it was right in the middle of the 100-300 range that they like to see. He has also grown 1cm since birth and is now 51cm and his head circumference is now 36.5cm so he's grown 0.5cm there too! After that we went and had lunch at the cafe in town with Paul and Diane and then we went out to their place to show Mum & Dad their kennels and all the greyhounds.

When Hunter cries for no reason at all (ie he's been fed, changed, burped, etc), Rob props him up in his arms and talks to him. He says stuff like "Have we had the calm talk today? We need to be calm. No crying. No bottle yet... so don't know what you're gonna do. Are we calm?" etc and just talks to him non-stop. Usually Hunter stops crying and stares up at Rob with the funniest wide eyed expression and purses his lips and just looks at him so intently. So today when Rob was talking to him, I got pictures of Hunter's expression!

Day 15

Sunday 31st August

Today we went down to Colac to visit Nanny & Pa Testa and see Lily for her 2nd birthday. Lunch was a fairly sedate affair for a Colac spread with lasagne to start and a massive platter of salad and cold meats. Dessert was a pretty lavish lot with 3 different varieties... of which Dad had a piece of them all!! Lol. We got to see the scrapbook Mary kept of Rob's early press articles... who knew that calling races got your mush into the papers so bloody often! I must've read 5 articles about him being employed by 3UZ, lol. All those old articles and form guides were good though... and very special was the fluffy hairstyle Rob was sporting circa 1989!! Haha.

After lunch we went around to Danica's to see Lily for her 2nd birthday. Hunter was passed around like a parcel with Ree's sisters both having a cuddle and one of Ree's nieces. We didn't stay very long because it was very late and freezing.. I wanted to get home before dinner!
